ZirkonZahn Milling, 3D Printing and CAD/CAM Technology
At Van Galder Advanced Dentistry, Dr. Daniel Van Galder customizes each individual design ensuring quality. We utilize advanced milling, 3D printers, and CAD/CAM technology to create highly accurate fixed zirconia implant bridges, implant crowns, zirconia crowns, diagnostic trays, custom night guards, and temporary crowns/bridges . CAD (Computer-Aided Design) enables us to design restorations tailored to fit your unique oral structure, while CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology ensures the precise production of these custom pieces. Our ZirkonZahn Miller, Asiga printer, and Sprintray printers provide exceptional detail, creating restorations that fit naturally and comfortably, enhancing both function and aesthetics. This combination of design and production technology allows for faster and more precise dental work than traditional methods. We can create final Zirconia restorations in as little as 24 hrs!
CBCT Scanner and Digital X-rays
Our practice’s CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) x-ray machine provides 3D imaging of your mouth, teeth, and bone structure, allowing us to view your oral health in greater detail. This advanced tool helps us identify potential issues that traditional 2D X-rays may miss, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. In addition to the CBCT scan, our digital X-rays emit less radiation than conventional methods, ensuring your safety while capturing high-quality images of your teeth and bones. Together, these technologies help us precisely monitor your oral health and provide the best possible care.
Intraoral Cameras and Scanners
We use intraoral cameras and scanners, like the Trios intraoral scanner and our newest photogrammetry scanner, to capture highly accurate 3D images of your teeth and gums. These tools allow us to create detailed scans that improve the design and fit of restorations like fixed zirconia implant bridges, crowns, veneers, and custom dentures. The intraoral camera lets you see what we see in real-time, helping you better understand your condition and treatment options. This visual feedback enhances communication and informs you about your treatment journey.
Laser Dentistry: Soft Tissue Laser and Biolase Waterlase Laser
Laser dentistry at Van Galder Advanced Dentistry may be seen in a variety of procedures. We use a diode laser intraorally to assist with periodontal disease treatment/ management and extraorally for post operative treatment reducing pain, swelling, bleeding and enhancing healing/recovery time. The Biolase Epic Diode laser can also be used extraorally to treat TMJ pain. The Biolase Waterlase system, combining laser energy with a gentle water spray, is highly effective for both hard and soft tissue procedures, it can be used during variety of intraoral procedures including but not limited to root canals, gingivectomy, fillings, crown preparations, frenectomy, and implant rehabilitation. The waterlase laser allows a precise cut with significantly less bleeding and discomfort. This water technique allows the environment to stay visible and cool. This technique reduces heat damage, is more conservative, and reduces dentin hypersensitivity.
3D Microscope
Our 3D microscope allows for enhanced visualization and precise movement during a procedure. We specifically use our microscope during root canals, apicoectomy, and various dental surgeries. This allows for greater accuracy and more conservative treatment.
