Dr. Daniel VanGalder has been a Georgia resident his entire life, having been born in Atlanta and raised in Gwinnett County. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry in 2008, he became a dental lab technician, and he developed a passion for helping others. While working as a lab technician, Dr. VanGalder was able to see patients’ smiles and transform their lives through dentistry. Through this driving force, he went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia (now known as “Augusta University Dental College of Georgia”). Upon graduation, he moved to Marietta, Georgia, where he currently resides and practices.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. VanGalder went on to further his education by completing a residency in IV sedation through the Academy of Medical and Dental Anesthesia. Dr. VanGalder has received advanced training in oral surgery and implantology and continues to pursue training from some of the most respected doctors around the world. He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentists.
In addition to working at several other offices, Dr. Daniel VanGalder helped re-focus both the laboratory and office of his father’s practice, Atlanta Dentures. Deciding that the care and comfort of his patients were his top priority, he has dedicated extensive time and effort to adding modern techniques and services to the strong foundation of his practice. He has since trained his younger brother, Thomas, in the art of denture fabrication from the unique paradigm of a dentist/lab technician and helped them to shift the lab from a traditional to a high-tech digital laboratory.
Dr. VanGalder’s mission is to always be aware of all options to provide the best education and treatment he can ensure the long-term oral health of his patients. He has brought modern treatment techniques to his office through anesthesia, bone grafting and ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation, implant placement, full arch reconstruction, and laser-assisted microsurgery to improve the treatment available at Atlanta Denture.
In Dr. VanGalder’s free time, he enjoys hunting, playing guitar, being physically active, and spending time traveling with his family, his wife, Brittany, and daughter Jordyn Grace. They live in Marietta, where they are members of the North Metro Church.
